Kicking off this first season of A Faster Horse, I'm tackling a topic that really forced itself into my mind every time I got deeper into thinking about photography: What, and I can't emphasize this enough, is a photo? As someone who hasn't been shooting since 20 years, I'm approaching this question with the digital process in mind.
But this discussion isn't an end in itself: I think we need to further acknowledge and understand the challenges everything technical brings for the creative side. Understanding sometimes intricate technical details is a necessary first step.
Whether you're an advanced photographer or the occasional instagrammer, I challenge you to not take something useful or interesting away from this episode :)
